Romanian folk costume from Oltenia with wool skirt

Romanian Traditional Costume, old folk attire, consisting of 4 pieces as follows: Romanian traditional old blouse finely crafted like tapestry, newer style skirt, old wool apron, and wool belt. Size M-L.

1.Beautiful Romanian folk blouse  featuring hand embroidery with red and blue cotton on fine industrially woven fabric. The hand embroidery on this shirt is a true work of art, extremely delicate. Size M-L  with the following dimensions:

Length: 55 cm (21.65 inches)

Sleeve length, measured from the base of the neck, is 61 cm (24 inches). Sleeves are finished with elastic, adding a note of comfort and flexibility.

The chest circumference of this shirt is 160 cm ( 63 " ), providing ample space for comfort and ease of movement.

Age: 60-70 years.

Although the blouse is in generally good condition, there are a few minor defects worth noting. There is a slight and uneven fading of the red embroidery, likely due to the use of red thread from two different sources by the woman who embroidered the shirt. However, these imperfections do not diminish the overall beauty and charm of this Romanian blouse.

Under the arm, there have been 2-3 very small repairs that have been tucked into two folds. The folds are located under both arms and are not very noticeable when worn.

2.Skirt is of a newer style, without embroidery, but with a lace ruffle on the hem.

3.Old Handwoven Wool Romanian skirt. This wool folk skirt is a traditional handwoven skirt, especially made with wool thread, manually pleated, and worn with the Oltenian costume for special occasions. This apron is of a thicker type suitable for cold weather. It has a new satin ribbon. There are 3 repairs at the waist, please refer to the pictures for details. The repairs are very well done and not visible when worn as they are hidden in the pleats. The apron is slightly faded; it was probably made from home-dyed wool, which, due to its age, tends to fade unevenly.

Waist, as pleated: 83 cm (32.5 inches), so it can fit any waist circumference smaller than 80 cm (31.5 inches) when worn slightly overlapped.

Length: 65 cm (25.5 inches)

Hem circumference: 3.2 m (126 inches)

Washed, clean, disinfected. The apron has been dry-cleaned, and the ribbon has been replaced.

4.Old Wool Belt, braided, with the same colors as the apron.

The Romanian traditional costume is wonderful despite the aforementioned defects in the description.
