Traditional Romanian clothing with floral hand embroidery

Romanian traditional costume, traditional clothing from Oltenia, consisting of 4 pieces: hand-embroidered blouse (ie), skirt with lace, handmade woolen apron (valnic), and a new matching belt.

1 .Traditional Romanian blouse (ie) made by hand on commercially available cotton fabric. This traditional Romanian shirt is hand embroidered with multicolored cotton thread. It is extended with a similar fabric and decorated with hand-crocheted lace around cuffs.

A small repair or fabric defect, I'm not sure, slightly larger than a pinhead (see the last picture). It has no other defects. Clean and ready to wear.

Neck circumference: 38 cm ( 15 " )

Blouse length: 67 cm ( 26.37 " )

Sleeve length measured from the neck: 58 cm ( 22.83 " ) 

Chest circumference: 148 cm (58.26 " )

Sleeve width: 28 cm x 2 = 56 cm ( 22 " )

Most likely handmade in the 1960s-1970s. Traditional blouse originates from Oltenia.

2 . Skirt made from the same fabric, decorated with crocheted lace at the hem. Length 79 cm ( 31.1 " ) , circumference 2 meters  ( 2 yds ) . Elastic waist. Without defects.

3 . Handwoven woolen skirt (valnic), thicker and suitable for cold weather. The satin ribbon has been replaced. There are three repairs at the top in the waist area; please see the photos for details. The repairs are very well done and are not visible when worn because they are hidden in folds (check the last photos).

Slightly discolored, probably made from home-dyed wool.

Waist, as it is pleated, is 83 cm ( 32.67 " ), so you should have a waist size of less than 75 cm ( 30 " )  for the apron to fit nicely, slightly overlapping.

Hem circumference: 3.2 meters (126 inches).

4.New matching traditional belt.
