Romanian skirt from Transylvania - vintage handmade Romanian folk skirt

This is a beautiful vintage Romanian peasant skirt, hand woven and hand embroidered over 60-70 years ago. The fabric is made of hand woven cotton thread and features multicolored cotton embroidery around the lower hem, as well as a handmade lace trim. The color is an ivory-yellowish shade, which pairs beautifully with an ivory or white Romanian blouse, as shown in the photos. The folk skirt is elasticated at the waist and can fit sizes M-L-XL, with a circumference around waist and hips of 178 cm or 70 inches. 

The length of the skirt is 69 cm or 27.16 inches.

Please note that there are some flaws due to the age of the skirt, including discoloration of the lavender thread in some areas and repairs made to the handmade lace at two places on the lower hem. Despite these minor imperfections, this vintage Romanian  skirt is a lovely piece of Romanian traditional clothing  that would be a unique addition to any wardrobe. Please also note that the belt shown in the photos is not included with the skirt.
