This traditional Hungarian or Romanian skirt from Transylvania, is a vintage piece originating from the 1970s. It is meticulously hand-pleated in the traditional style using a cotton fabric that resembles lighter-weight denim. The color combination of the skirt includes mostly brown and green.
The traditional skirt features an overlapping design, allowing it to be worn as a standalone piece or as part of a complete traditional costume. When worn as part of a traditional costume, it is customary to cover the slitz of the skirt with an apron. However, it can also be worn independently as a regular skirt.
