Handmade traditional Romanian skirt, vintage folk skirt from Transylvania

This exquisite skirt is a true masterpiece, meticulously crafted by hand in the traditional Romanian style. It features delicate hand embroidery using black thread on a beautifully hand-woven fabric. The skirt fastens at the back with laces .

Designed to accentuate the waist, this skirt comfortably fits a maximum waist circumference of 63 cm (24.8 inches). The inside of the waist  band covered by an intricately embroidered measuring approximately 69 cm (27 inches). To ensure a proper fit, I recommend this skirt for individuals with a waist circumference ranging from 59 cm (23.22 inches) up to a maximum of 63 cm (24.8 inches). For reference, the mannequin used in the photographs has a waist circumference of 61 cm (24 inches).

With a skirt length of 62 cm (24.4 inches) measured from below the waist, this piece exudes elegance and grace. Its waistband measures 8 cm in height (3.14 inches), further enhancing the silhouette and adding a touch of sophistication.

Although this skirt is considered to be in good condition, it's important to note that it is approximately 40-50 years old, bearing the unique marks of its rich history. However, close inspection, aided by a magnifying glass, may reveal subtle signs of use, such as faint, diffuse spots that have naturally developed over time.
