Handmade Romanian folk costume from Transylvania

Gorgeous hand embroidered Romanian traditional costume from Banat containing 3 pieces: Romanian blouse, folk skirt and pair of gorgeous aprons.

The Romanian folk blouse is hand embroidered with silver thread / tinsel on organza / nylon, a semi sheer / see through fabric. The traditional skirt is decorated on the lower hem with assorted hand made silver embroideries and machine embroidery too (the open work).

Dated around 1960.

Condition of the blouse and skirt: good with minor  traces of the wear, clean and ready to be used.

Measurements:

blouses length: 44 cm or 17. 3 inches. It is ended with a string around the lower hem

around chest: 94 cm or 37 inches

skirts length: 73 cm or 28. 74 inches

around waist the skirt have an elastic.

Pair of old hand embroidered Romanian aprons from Banat. They are hand embroidered with golden and silver tinsel and decorated with sequins.

Dated aprox around 1960 - 1980.

They are in very good condition, slightly worn only.

The frontal apron is wide, the back apron is narrow.

The size of the frontal apron is:

length 71 cm or 28 inches. Its wide measured at the lower hem is: 89 cm or 35 inches

The back apron is: 77 cm or 30. 3 inches long

wide: 40 cm or 15. 74 inches
