Old Traditional Romanian Costume from Bucovina

This rare folk costume is size M-L, the Romanian blouse with skirt is fairly large, but please note the wool wrap skirt (catrinta) is only 122 cm (48.03 inches) in length.

This old Moldavian traditional costume consists of 3 pieces: a hand-made old blouse with skirt ( a dress ), an old wool skirt ( catrinta ) and a new belt.

The Romanian folk dress  is made with handmade fabric at the top and thicker commercial fabric at the bottom. The hem is adorned with commercially-made white lace.

The top part of the traditional dress is hand-embroidered with black-yellow cotton and accents in green and brown. The black thread is unevenly faded, but this does not diminish its beauty; it is evident that it is an old, rare traditional Romanian blouse. Based on the measurements, it seems like a large blouse, but considering the narrow sleeves, it is recommended for sizes M or at most M-L.

Sleeve length from neck: 67 cm (26.38 inches)

No defects except for the faded black thread. Clean and ready to wear.

Black-red handwoven wool  with metallic thread inserts.

Dimensions: 122 cm length x 77 cm width (48.03 inches x 30.31 inches). Clean and in good condition with slight signs of use. No holes, repairs, or other defects.
