Traditional Romanian clothing from Oltenia , handmade folk attire

Vintage Romanian traditional clothing , folk costume from Oltenia consisting of 3 pieces: Romanian folk dress  with hand-stitched pattern, old wool large handmade skirt  and new belt.

The Romanian traditional dress  is hand embroidered  with dark red  and black cotton on white industrial canvas. It has no defects. It is clean, ready to wear.

 It is size S-M. Even if it seems that it is wide across the chest and waist, from the shoulders to the underarm it is small and so is the neck circumference is small .

So it will fit measurements 36-38-40 ( in European sizes ) or S-M  for sure.

Length 121 cm(47.6 " )

sleeve length measured from the neck: 58 cm ( 22.8 " )

from shoulder to under arm: 20 cm (7.87 " )

chest circumference 140 cm ( 55 " ) 

Wool large Romanian folk skirt in very good condition, with minimal signs of use.

Measure:

the maximum circumference around the waist, as currently pleated, is 78 cm (30.7 " ). So the skirt will fit as is on any waist circumference less than 76 cm ( 30 " )

the circumference of the lower hem is 3.3 meters ( 130 " ) 

length: 70 cm ( 27.55 " )

Age of the Romanian wool skirt : 50 - 60 years or more.

The edges are covered with new burgundy taffeta.

Condition: Good condition showing normal signs of wear for its age. No tears, no visible stains or repairs. Never dry clean, those hand woven skirts should only be dry cleaned.
