Romanian folk costume from Muntenia region with red embroidered traditional dress

Gorgeous handmade traditional costume from Romania , Muntania folkloric region . It contain 3 pieces : handmade Romanian folk dress ,hand embroidered traditional skirt and traditional new belt . 

1 .Old Romanian traditional dress, lovingly handmade with red and green cotton on hand-woven fabric. Dating back to the years 1940-1960, this folk dress carries the essence of a bygone era. The upper part ( blouse ) is hand embroidered on handmade fabric . The lower part ( the skirt ) is handmade on commercial linen .

Size M-L for the costume . The dress is large so it will fit to L size too . You have to be sure that the sizes of the wrap skirt are suitable to you . We recommend verifying the dimensions for a perfect fit:

Dress length: 125 cm or 49.2 inches

Sleeve length measured from the base of the neck: 67 cm or 26.4 inches

Chest and waist circumference: 156 cm or 61.4 inches

Neck : 35 cm or 13.8 inches

This Romanian folk dress does exhibit only minor traces of wear .  Notably, the upper part of the dress is skillfully handwoven, while the fabric for the skirt was purchased, a traditional approach in crafting dresses of that era to balance the difficulty and expense of creating entirely hand-woven pieces.

Despite being worn, this traditional Romanian  dress displays no major defects beyond those mentioned above, attesting to its enduring quality and timeless allure.

2 .Romanian handmade skirt , traditional skirt  .This Romanian folk skirt is hand woven and hand embroidered with multi colored silk thread. It is a rectangular entire piece which will be fixed around your waist with a needle and a belt .

Measuring 124 cm x 64 cm (48.8 x 25.2 inches), this Romanian folk  skirt is around 50-60 years old and is in good condition with only minor signs of wear. There are no tears, repairs, or noticeable stains, but it is slightly discolored due to the natural aging process.

Age: 50 - 60 years old.

Condition: good with  minor traces of the wear. The black background is slightly discolored due to the skirts age. 

The old Romanian folk costume of the Muntenia region is even today an apparel of a remarkable beauty and decorative richness .
