Vintage Romanian folk costume from Banat

Step back in time with this exquisite vintage Romanian folk costume from Banat, dating back to the 1970s and 1980s. The centerpiece of this ensemble is a stunning hand-embroidered Romanian blouse, crafted on delicate tulle fabric. The black cotton thread and golden tube beads give the blouse a regal feel and add an element of sophistication to the garment.

This Romanian folk blouse fits a European size S-M, with measurements of 61 cm (24 inches) in length and 60 cm (23.6 inches) in sleeve length, measured from the neck. The chest circumference measures 100 cm (39.3 inches), and the distance from the shoulder to the armpit is 23 cm (9 inches). The blouse is gently used and in good  condition, with no major flaws, making it ready to wear and enjoy. Only the black embroidery is discolored and this is normal for a 50-60 years old item .

The matching skirt, made of nylon fabric, features a beautiful black-gold hand-embroidered tulle ribbon around the lower hem. The elastic waistband is adjustable, making this skirt a universal fit. The length of the skirt is 83 cm (32.67 inches).

The Romanian traditional costume is completed with a pair of black velvet aprons sewn with golden-brown and silver beads, characteristic of the Banat region. The front apron is wide, while the back apron is narrow. The front apron measures 54 cm (21.25 inches) at the waist, plus the cords, and the apron length is 78 cm (30.7 inches). The back apron measures 28 cm x 76 cm (11 inches x 30 inches). While the aprons are missing some beads and others have come off, they are still in very  good condition, adding a unique touch to the folk costume.
