Vintage Romanian traditional clothing for women

Old Romanian  folk costume from Oltenia size M, consisting of 4 pieces: handmade Romanian folk blouse , traditional skirt  with old hand-made lace, old wool handmade skirt and belt.

1. Old traditional Romanian hand-made blouse  hand embroidered with multicolored embroidery  on comercial cotton cloth from the trade. This traditional Romanian shirt is extended with a similar canvas. Decorated with handmade crochet on the sleeves.

A small repair or a defect in the canvas, I can't tell, a little bigger than the size of a needle (see the last picture). It has no other defects. Clean, ready to wear.

Size M-L

Neck circumference: 38 cm ( 15 " )

Length : 67 cm (26.37 " )

Sleeve length measured from the neck: 58 cm (22.83 " )

Chest circumference: 148 cm (58.26 " )

Sleeve cut around shoulder : 28 cm x 2 = 56 cm ( 22 " )

Handmade, most likely in the 1960s-1970s. 

2. Traditional Romanian skirt  from the same fabric, decorated at the hem with crocheted lace. Length 79 cm ( 31 " ) , circumference 2 m. Elastic waist. Flawless .

3. Very old  hand-woven omanian wool skirt  with multi-colored fine cotton thread embroidery around hem . The background is black with thin dark gray vertical stripes. The embroidery is 3D, hand embroidered  with a Persian needle. It is a medium-thick wool skirt from Oltenia, suitable for the summer period.

It can be adapted to a waist circumference of up to 80 cm. 

Length: 70 cm ( 27.55 " )

Hem circumference: 300 cm ( 3 yds )

Waist as it is now folded: 80 cm.(31.5 " )

The red satin ribbon around the hem is new.

Condition: good, with signs of wear. It is faded and the right side is more faded than the left. Now this more discolored part is covered by the other part. This is washed, professionally cleaned, ready to be worn. It can be seen that it is an old folk skirt and that does not alter its beauty in any way.

It must by only dry cleaned .
