Vintage Romanian folk costume from Transylvania Oas folkloric region

Vintage Romanian traditional costume from Transylvania / OAS folkloric region.This handmade Romanian costume is fabulous and scarce  , for collectors , museums . It contain 3 pieces: Romanian blouse, handmade large folk skirt and traditional  apron . 

1. the hand embroidered Romanian blouse with yoke which display embroideries on sleeve, cuffs and yoke.

Will fit to sizes XS - S(34, 36  size in German size).

Measurements of the blouse: shoulder to shoulder: 35 cm or 13.8 inches. (I measured the hand stitched part)

under armpit to under armpit: 45 cm or 17.7 inches

at its hem it has 180 cm (70. 8 inches) circumference

blouse length: 55 cm or 21. 65 inches

sleeves length measured from the yoke is: 52 cm or 20.47 inches + cuff

from shoulder to armpit: 23 cm or 9 inches. This will fit to S and even M sizes.

2. A hand made and very ample skirt with tall waist. The embroideries are displayed around waist and lower hem of the skirt.

Skirts measurements :

around waist: 65-66 cm or 25.5 - 26 inches + the strings 

length: 58 cm or 22.8 inches measured from waist to lower hem

circumference at lower hem is 3 meters or 118 inches.

3. A very beautiful apron made of polyester felted with cotton. The apron is decorated with black lace around hem and waist. The polyester side is navy blue with tinny yellow splashes. The felt is blue cotton cloth.

The fabric for the blouse is hand woven cotton fabric. The fabric for skirt is hand woven cotton - flax cloth.

Age: 50 - 80 years old, the apron being dated around 1980.

Condition: nice vintage condition with minimum traces of the wear. The black hand embroidery is faded out. No noticeable stain, 

 one small reparation on one of the sleeve .

This Romanian folk  costume is a beautiful, scarce and valuable traditional costume !

It is worn only with boots, similar with the military boots.
