Romanian folk attire originating from the Oltenia region, a complete ethnic ensemble dating back to the 1960s, crafted entirely by hand – from the hand-woven and hand-embroidered dress to the meticulously hand-sewn Romanian traditional wool skirt ( valnic ) .

This exquisite handmade Romanian peasant costume, a folkloric ensemble from Eastern Europe, comprises a hand-embroidered dress, a hand-woven wool skirt and a traditional belt.

Meticulously crafted Romanian ethnic dress, showcasing refined decorative designs and expertly executed seams.

This vintage Romanian dress remains in good condition, bearing subtle signs of wear. A minor repair on the right sleeve is evident (refer to the last picture for details), with no noticeable stains.

Recent addition of elastic on the sleeves, replacing the previous tie string.

Dress age: 50 - 80 years.

Size: L-XL-XXL. Suitable for a belt even in size M due to the airy and delicate fabric.

The skirt, designed in an A-shape, is generously sized and hand-woven for winter, featuring traditional pleats. Adjustable with laces around the waist, the skirt can be customized to desired dimensions by removing or replacing the strings – a service we are happy to provide upon request.

Measurement of the traditional wool skirt are :

the maximum circumference around the waist, as it is folded at this time, is 78 cm or 30.7 inches. So the skirt will fit as it is on any waist measurement that is less than 76 cm or 30 inches.

the circumference of the lower hem is 3.3 meters or 130 inches
