Handmade old Romanian traditional clothing from Oltenia

Old Romanian traditional costume consisting of 4 pieces: a Romanian folk blouse, traditional skirt, pair of handmade aprons and a belt.

Old Romanian traditional handmade blouse,  hand embroidered with multicolored cotton thread on industrial canvas. The cross-stitch pattern, adorned with multicolored cotton thread, exudes charm. Splendid lace rows, delicately handmade with yellow thread, accentuate its beauty. Originally designed with sleeves up to the elbow, evident from the arrangement of embroidery around the sleeve, it is tied with laces around the elbows. Crafted from several pieces of cloth, including back, chest, and sleeves made from strips of cloth, this Romanian traditional blouse exhibits no major defects, tears, or repairs. The canvas remains durable, albeit with minor discoloration in the embroidery thread and traces of wear. 

Sized S in European sizes, it measures 53 cm (20.86 inches) in length, with a chest circumference of 126 cm (49.6 inches), sleeve circumference around shoulders of 46 cm (18.11 inches), and sleeve length of 43 cm (17 inches) measured from the neck.

White skirt adorned with handmade lace around the hem. Despite being crafted from two different fabrics, with one being 100% cotton and the other containing flax, it remains in good condition. Although not noticeable when worn, the difference is apparent when pressed due to the varied fabric compositions. Featuring an elastic waistband, it offers a universal fit. Length: 64 cm.

The Romanian handwoven pair of traditional aprons boasts a charming floral pattern against a burgundy background. Horizontal rows of multicolored flowers adorn the frontal apron, while vertical rows embellish the back, creating a delightful contrast. Crafted from cotton, these aprons are ideal for summer wear, showcasing minimal signs of age-related wear and tear. No stains, tears, or repairs are present Length: 63 cm. The ribbon bordering the hems is new.
