Handmade old Romanian folk costume from Transylvania

Exquisite Vintage Romanian Traditional Costume from Transylvania, comprising of three distinct pieces: a hand crafted  Romanian blouse, a handwoven skirt, and a woolen traditional apron.

The Romanian blouse, originating from Transylvania, is a testament to traditional craftsmanship. Fashioned from handwoven linen and cotton canvas, adorned with intricate hand-embroidered detailing, including  delicately cut-out embroidery . This Romanian folk blouse boasts voluminous sleeves tapering into narrow cuffs, embellished with vibrant, hand-stitched motifs. Its graceful silhouette, widening at the base with numerous folds below the shoulders, exudes elegance.

The Romanian folk  skirt features exquisite hand embroidery along the lower hem, showcasing a delicate row of cross-stitched flowers. Crafted from handwoven flax-hemp fabric, it epitomizes traditional craftsmanship. Secured with strings around the waist, it offers both comfort and elegance.

This vintage apron from Transylvania is handwoven from wool and adorned with charming hand-crocheted lace. Traditionally worn in the western part of Transylvania, it features a classic black and white color scheme. With a length of 80 cm (31.5 inches) and a width of 76 cm (30 inches), it hangs gracefully from the waist, creating elegant folds with the help of a rope tie.
