Romanian traditional costume with hand woven pattern

Handcrafted Romanian traditional costume comprising three pieces: a brand new handwoven Romanian traditional  blouse and skirt, alongside a  pair of vintage wool aprons.

The Romanian blouse and skirt are handwoven using black cotton thread on a base of white cotton. They are in pristine, unworn condition.

The blouse is designed to fit sizes L and XL, with a length of 70 cm (27.55 inches) and a chest circumference of 130 cm (51.18 inches). The skirt features a handwoven pattern around the lower hem and is equipped with an elastic waistband, accommodating waist circumferences of up to 138 cm (54.33 inches). Its length is 69 cm (27 inches), and it measures 138 cm (54 inches) around the hips.

These exquisite pieces are complemented by two traditional wool aprons from Oltenia. Handwoven with burgundy wool thread and adorned with multicolored hand-stitched accents, they offer both beauty and warmth. The front apron features horizontal stripes, while the back apron boasts vertical stripes. These thick, woolen aprons are suitable for wintertime wear and come in a universal size.

The measurements for the aprons are as follows: the back apron is 66 cm x 32 cm wide (26 inches x 12.6 inches), and the front apron is 66 cm x 43 cm wide (26 inches x 17 inches).

Despite their age of 60-90 years, these aprons are in very good condition, free from tears or stains. Although some of the metallic sequins may be missing, they remain charming pieces of history. Additionally, new black borders have been added to replace the original ones, which were in poor condition.
