Antique hand woven and hand embroidered Romanian traditional skirt from Transylvania / Banat.
This vintage folk skirt is hand embroidered with red, black and yellow cotton thread on flax - cotton handwoven traditional fabric. It shows 3 rows of hand stitched flowers or cherries on each side of the skirt and one row of hand stitch around the lower hem.
Universal size.
Measurements:
length 80 cm or 31. 5 inches
around lower hem circumference 170 cm or 67 inches
Adjustable around waist with elastic which replaced the old rope.
Dated: 1900 - 1940.
Condition of the traditional skirt : clean and nice, with no tear. Few black gray stains here and there that we was not able to remove and the crochet lace have few repairs and tears.
