This is a remarkable traditional Romanian folk costume, consisting of a hand‑embroidered blouse with attached skirt (ie cu poale), a pair of vintage wool aprons (catrinte) richly decorated with metallic thread, and a new woven waist belt (brau). The ensemble originates from the Sibiu–Valcea area, renowned for its sophisticated craftsmanship and distinctive black‑on‑white embroidery. 1. Traditional Blouse with Skirt (Ie cu Poale) – Handcrafted & Embellished with Metallic Details

The blouse is an authentic, vintage, hand‑stitched piece made from soft, homespun cotton. It features wide vertical black applied bands on the front and sleeves, bordered with delicate hand‑embroidered black floral motifs, filled with metallic sequins, and enhanced with traces of original metallic thread embroidery.
