Vintage Romanian traditional dress from Sibiu-Valcea folkloric region

Splendid old traditional Romanian dress, a handmade folk dress from Sibiu-Valcea. Handcrafted 40-50 years ago, this authentic traditional dress presents Romania's rich cultural heritage. The hand embroidery made with black thread and the black stripes applied on a cotton cloth are typical of this region. This Romanian traditional dress is found in the Carpathian Mountains, between the Sibiu-Valcea folklore regions. It has a lot of fabric around the chest for larger sizes, so it is recommended for sizes M-L and even L to XL.

Sleeve length measured from the base of the neck: 58 cm (22.8")

Please note that this handmade dress, dated 1970-1980, is in good condition with some traces of wear. It has been refurbished, washed, and is ready to wear. However, the black hand embroidery and applied cloth stripes may show some discoloration due to age and repeated washing. The neck was replaced using similar old cloth. The old neck was destroyed due to the age of the dress. In the waist, on the back, and near the neck on the back, there are some pale yellow spots. It is difficult to capture them in photos because they are quite pale, but the most prominent are caught in a photo, please check them all!
