Vintage Romanian traditional dress with black pattern from Sibiu Valcea

Splendid Romanian antique handmade dress from Sibiu Valcea area  , Transylvania. This rare Romanian dress, adorned with hand-embroidered flowers and applied stripes from Transylvania, is a true gem. While it has plenty of fabric around the chest for larger sizes, it is recommended for L -XL sizes due to its neck circumference of 37 cm ( 14.5 " )

Size L-XL , the smallest part of this dress is the neck circumference .

With a dress length of 132 cm (52 inches), chest  and waist circumference of 160 cm (63 inches) and sleeve length  measured from neck to sleeve's hem of 64 cm (22 inches), this timeless Romanian folk dress in such unusual size  will make a stunning addition to your wardrobe.

The armhole circumference is : 80 cm or 31.5 inches .

This folk dress has a deep slit on the chest, but it is so wide and full that when the button at the neck is closed, the slit gets lost among the fabric folds. Some metal snaps can be added, or a decorative loop can be made higher up.

Please note that this handmade blouse, dated between 1930-1950, is in good condition with signs of wear. It has been reconditioned, washed, and is ready to be worn. However, the black hand embroidery may show some discoloration due to age and repeated washing.
