Romanian folk blouse hand embroidered with puff sleeves

Romanian traditional blouse "ie " from Marginimea Sibiului handmade with black embroidery on satin. A rarity in the fact that it is a traditional Romanian blouse hand embroidered  on satin. It means that it was most likely worn by a bride or at a special event. It was completely redone: the back, the lower half of the chest and the unembroidered part of the sleeves were replaced with viscose silk in the same color as the original satin: ivory, butter cream. The neck is replaced and the black ribbon that forms the ruffle of the sleeves has been replaced.The black lace around sleeve's hem is the original old lace .

The condition of this handmade Romanian folk blouse : good, with minimal signs of wear. It has no major defects, it is refurbished, washed and ready to wear, but it can be seen that it is an old traditional handmade shirt. The black hand embroidery is slightly faded due to age and repeated washings. Here and there there are scratches or the satin is a bit pinched, but overall the shirt reconditioned in this way can be worn for another 20-30 years.
