Vintage Romanian blouse with stripes from Sibiu

Traditional Romanian blouse from Marginimea Sibiului, handcrafted with black embroidery and manually stitched stripes. Romanian folk shirts from this region, with hand-stitched stripes, are both old and rare.

The material is made of fine cotton. The neckline has been replaced with a black ribbon because the old one was completely destroyed. Similarly, the ribbon forming the sleeve ruffle is new. This traditional blouse has been completely restored.

Condition of this handmade Romanian blouse: good, with signs of wear. It has been refurbished, washed, and ready to wear, but it is clear that it is an old folk shirt. The black hand embroidery has faded due to age and repeated washes. The neck has been replaced. The fabric has 2-3 repairs on the sleeves; the repairs are very small, as you can see in the last picture. The price reflects these defects. The shirt is an old Romanian shirt that can still be worn for many more years to come.
