Vintage Romanian handmade traditional dress from Rupea

Old traditional Romanian dress from Rupea, Romanian  traditional blouse with twisted sleeve. Extremely rare. Size M.

The traditional Romanian dress is handmade on homespun fabric. The sleeve is twisted, and the black embroideries are done on the front of the sleeve, approximately 53 cm (21 inches) in length from the neck. Then, the embroideries on the sleeve are sewn on the back so that when you twist the sleeve, the embroideries appear on the front on the folded part.

The dress is adorned with decorative yellow and black stitches.

This folk dress from Rupea  has a very rich cut, very spacious at the sleeves and bust, but I tend to believe it is a size M, looking at the neck circumference (36 cm or 14.17 inches) and the circumference of the seam between the skirt and the shirt (106 cm or 41.73 inches).

In addition, it has the following dimensions:

Sleeve length measured from the neck: 72 cm, untwisted (28.34 inches)

Shirt length: 126 cm (49.6 inches)

Chest circumference: 140 cm (55.11 inches)

Circumference of the hem: 60 cm (23.6 inches)

Condition: washed, clean, ready to wear. Small faint stains here and there, which will certainly come out over time when washed. In 2-3 places, the lace on the sleeves has been repaired, but neatly. Nothing noticeable or disturbing.
