Handmade Romanian folk shirt with white embroidery from Transylvania

This is a stunning  Romanian traditional shirt handmade in Transylvania region, specifically in Banat. Its beautiful white embroidery is displayed on chest and cuffs creating an impressive pattern. The fabric of the shirt is made of the  finest handwoven material found in the region.

This  Romanian folk shirt is designed for a man with a S-M size or for a woman as a dress  of M-L size with the following measurements: 

a 15-inch (38 cm) neck circumference

 a length of 38.58 inches (98 cm)

 shoulders measuring 16.5 inches (42 cm) across. 

The sleeve length is 20.47 inches (52 cm) with an additional cuff of 5.9 inches (15 cm).

The folk  shirt has a 54.33 -inch (138 cm) circumference right under the armpits and a 66-inch (168 cm) waist circumference. The distance from the shoulder to the armpit is 8.66 inches (22 cm). The shirt is in good condition, with only minor signs of wear that are expected from a handmade fabric of this age .

The  traditional shirt is estimated to be at least 40 to 50 years old, or possibly older. It is a fantastic and unique piece that showcases the traditional clothing style of Transylvania.
