Antique Romanian old style folk dress from Oltenia handmade on hemp

Very Old Romanian Traditional Dress 

Hand-sewn on old, handwoven hemp and linen fabric. Being a Romanian blouse from the south of Romania, the hemp fabric is thinner than the fabric from Transylvania. Very fine hand stitching with black-blue cotton thread.

This unexpectedly large traditional Romanian dress easily fits up to 80-85 kg (176-187 lbs) and can even accommodate more, as it has plenty of material around the chest. However, at over 80 kg (176 lbs), it starts to feel tight around the neck and underarms.

Armhole (diagonal): 32 x 2 = 64 cm or 12.6 inches x 2 = 25.2 inches

Chest: 88 cm x 2 = 176 cm  or 34.65 inches x 2 = 69.3 inches

Length : 123 cm or 48.43 inches

No defects, ready to wear, clean. The fabric is strong, durable, and comfortable to wear, being made from hemp and linen, which are organic fibers.

This is a traditional Romanian dress  worthy of a museum.
