Antique  Romanian traditional silk veil, scarf. Hand woven with raw silk thread known in Romania as borangic.

Size: 270 cm x 45 cm or 106 x 17. 7 inches

The scarf is in fair to good condition with the traces of the wear inherent for an item of this age. Many rust stains on edges, check photos for details.

The color is white off.

It is very beautiful striped veil of cocoon silk, raw silk.

It is part of the Romanian costume from Oltenia, Muntenia and Moldova and it is worn only by married women.
