Vintage Romanian Blouse from Gorj – Hand-Embroidered Folk Shirt with Black and Multicolored Stitching

Discover this vintage Romanian folk blouse (ie) from Gorj, a rare piece of authentic traditional clothing, carefully handcrafted and beautifully preserved.

This old Romanian ie blouse is made from soft white cotton fabric, richly decorated with black hand embroidery and multicolored accents, typical of the Gorj region. The sleeves and chest are adorned with black fabric bands, recently replaced to maintain the blouse’s structural integrity while respecting its traditional design.

Despite its 60-80 years of age, the blouse remains in good vintage condition. It has a tiny black stain (please check the last photo) and a minor fabric imperfection on the chest, about the size of a pinhead, which could not be captured in photos. The blouse has also been extended with similar fabric, maintaining its authentic appearance.
