Vintage Romanian folk dress with black embroidery

This Romanian folk dress hails from the South of Romania and it is hand embroidered with black cotton thread.  The hand embroidered  pattern showcases a dense and compact arrangement, beautifully adorning the chest, sleeves, and hem. The upper part of this dress ( the romanian blouse ) is made of hand woven fabric and the skirt is made of commercial cotton fabric .

Preserved in its original condition, the dress has recently undergone a gentle wash to restore it.

Sleeve Length (measured from the base of the neck): 60 cm or 23.6 inches

Dress Length: 121 cm or 47.6  inches

Condition: 

The dress has been preserved in its original condition, with a gentle wash to refresh it. It is in good condition, with only a few minor repairs, the largest being on the back (as shown in the last photo). The black shade has gracefully faded over time, revealing a beautiful dark grey hue.

For care, wash in cold water and air-dry naturally in sunlight or wind, avoiding machine drying.
