Vintage Romanian blouse from Transylvania, white embroidered folk blouse

This is an old traditional Romanian blouse ("ie"), originating from Transylvania, Bihor, and handmade most likely between 1930 and 1960. The shirt is crafted from a thick, handwoven fabric, resembling modern denim, and is adorned with stunning hand-embroidered cotton decorations on the shoulders, cuffs, chest, and ruffles.

This vintage traditional blouse will fit sizes S-M or M, equivalent to German size 38-40, and possibly 42 if you are not very tall. This is because the gussets under the arms have been replaced, which added more looseness to the blouse.

• Neck to shoulder seam length: 14 cm (5.5 in).

• Sleeve circumference at the shoulder seam: 53 cm (20.8 in), comfortable for size M and even L.
