Handmade Romanian folk dress with white embroidery from Transylvania

Romanian Folk Dress - A masterpiece of traditional Romanian craftsmanship, this folk dress  is handmade with splendid white silk embroidery and handcrafted lace on the sleeves, chest, and skirt hem. The lace is not crocheted; instead, the artisan transforms the fabric into lace, resulting in a product of exquisite artistic skill (known as "sabac" in Romanian ). The voluminous skirt is adorned with the same pattern along the hemline.

Originating from the Banat region, this folk dress is meticulously handcrafted on a linen canvas, with the lace made using cotton threads.

Estimated to have been created between 1970 and 1980, it is sized S-M and has the following measurements:
