Traditional Romanian clothing , hand-embroidered Romanian blouse and folk skirt

Old Romanian  folk costume consisting of hand-embroidered folk skirt and  traditional Romanian blouse. They are made on hand-woven canvas with cotton and hemp. Because of this the color of the Romanian blouse and skirt is cream - butter. This  traditional ethnic wear is wonderful for the simplicity and refinement of the details.

The Romanian traditional blouse  has a tunic collar and wide sleeves closed with  button.Admire the tunic collar and wide sleeves, gracefully adorned with white silk embroidery that dances along the collar, cuffs, shoulders, and sleeves.Its color, akin to creamy butter, showcases a timeless charm that transcends trends.

Aged between 60-80 years or even more, this blouse is a living relic of Romania's past .

Condition: good, no major defects. With normal traces of use for some pieces with this antiquity. Without:  holes, patches, large stains.

It fit to size  S-M with the following dimensions.

Blouse: length: 48 cm or 18.89 inches

sleeve + shoulder length: 69 cm or 27.16 inches

neck: 33 cm or 13 inches

chest circumference: 130 cm or 51.18 inches

from shoulder to under arm it is 20 cm or 7.9 inches

Due to this last measure this Romanian costume  fits the measures S and maximum M. It is suitable for size S or M because the neck and armscye are small. 

Traditional hand-woven and hand-embroidered skirt from Transylvania .

It is hand embroidered with red, black and yellow cotton thread on the traditional hand - woven cotton fabric. It features 3 rows of hand-sewn flowers on each side of the skirt and a row of hand stitches around the bottom hem.

Universal size.Measures:

length 80 cm

the circumference of the lower hem 170 cm

Adjustable around the waist with elastic that replaced the old rope.

Dated: 1900 - 1940.

Condition: good condition with traces of wear . A few gray black spots here and there that I couldn't remove and the crocheted lace has few repairs and tears. See the stains  in  pictures.
