Romanian traditional kilim rug with roses , vintage rug with flowers

Beautiful and rare antique handmade traditional kilim rug that features a vibrant floral pattern on a black background. This vintage rug is hand-woven in Northern Moldavia 50-70 years ago and it is a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of the weavers of the region.

Measuring 1.8 meters by 5.7 meters (5.9 feet by 18.7 feet), this is a very large traditional  rug that can be used to decorate a spacious room or hallway. The Romanian traditional  rug is hand-woven with wool on a cotton thread foundation, making it durable and long-lasting. The main colors of the rug are black, red, green, pink, purple, lavender, blue, and white .

The  vintage traditional rug is in very beautiful condition for its age, with only minor traces of wear. The green leaves, in particular, are noteworthy as for 1/3 of the rug, they are made using different green wool threads. The rug is thick and heavy for a flat hand-woven carpet, weighing approximately 14-15 kg or 30 pounds.

Like all old Moldovan rugs, the background is black, and the pattern consists of large multicolored flowers. This rug is very rare in this size and is highly precious, like any other Bessarabian carpet. It is a reversible carpet, which means it has two sides that can be used interchangeably.

Although the rug is heavy, it is recommended to put an anti-slip pad underneath it if it will be placed on the floor. This vintage kilim rug has no tears, stains, or repairs, and is clean and ready to be used as a stunning centerpiece in any living space.
