Vintage Romanian traditional rug , kilim rug with roses

This is a stunning antique Romanian traditional rug that was hand-woven with exquisite attention to detail. The vintage rug features a vibrant floral pattern that stands out beautifully against a black background. This type of traditional rug is very rare and was hand-woven in Northern Moldavia approximately 50 to 70 years ago.

Measuring 2 meters by 4 meters (6.7 feet by 13.12 feet), this is a very large traditional wool  rug that can be used to decorate a spacious room or hallway. The carpet is hand-woven with wool on a cotton thread foundation, making it durable and long-lasting.

Despite its age, this vintage floral rug is in excellent condition and only shows minor traces of wear. The former owner treasured this piece so much that it was used to decorate a wall, but the hanging seams on one of the lengths can be removed if desired to use it on the floor. The carpet is thick and heavy for a flat hand-woven rug, weighing in at an impressive amount.
