Traditional Large Handmade Romanian Decorative Towel from Transylvania – Vintage Cotton Textile

This large traditional Romanian decorative towel, handwoven in the northwestern region of Transylvania, is a genuine vintage textile with 40-60 years of history. Made from white cotton with intricate red woven patterns, it was traditionally used to decorate guest rooms by hanging on walls with icons or traditional ceramics, draping tables, or covering dowry chests. These towels were also given as gifts to guests during weddings or baptisms. Measuring 150 cm  ( 59 inches )in length (plus 8 cm or 3 inches  lace on each end) and 49 cm ( 19 inches ) in width, this handwoven cotton textile remains in good condition and reflects the rich cultural heritage of Transylvanian folk art.
