Exquisite Vintage Romanian Folk Costume with Metallic Embroidered Aprons - Size 38-40 (S-M)

This superb vintage Romanian folk costume, approximately EU size 38-40 (S-M), consists of a hand-embroidered blouse with skirt and antique aprons featuring metallic thread. 

The blouse may appear larger based on the measurements given below; however, it only fits sizes 38-40 or S-M because the sleeves are short and the neckline is small. It can also be worn by those with larger measurements, but it will ride up on the body, and the sleeves will look short. For this reason, please do not purchase it if you wear a size larger than S-M. The mannequin in the photo is 1.8 m tall (5 ft 11 in) and very slim, wearing a size S. As shown, the costume fits the mannequin beautifully, with the sleeves providing adequate length.

Photographed on a mannequin size 36-38, standing 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in), the costume fits beautifully, showcasing the intricate handwork.

The blouse appears entirely hand-sewn, with a tucked-in skirt (poale) at the waist, decorated along the hem in the same pattern. It is in pristine, clean condition, with no defects.

The aprons are made from black wool fabric and are decorated with metallic thread, displaying beautiful traditional craftsmanship. While in good condition, they show signs of gentle wear, with minor nicks in the fabric and small areas where metallic thread is missing. The crochet edges have faded over time. However, these rare and splendid Romanian folk  aprons complete the costume wonderfully, adding character and authenticity.
