This exquisite Romanian traditional costume from Banat features three beautifully crafted pieces: a hand-embroidered blouse (ie), skirt, and a simple velvet apron.

The  Romanian blouse is adorned with intricate embroidery in gold, green, and black thread on a sheer nylon fabric, giving it a delicate, semi-transparent look. The skirt, crafted from opaque nylon, mirrors the blouse's floral motifs, with hand and machine embroidery, and both pieces are embellished with vintage celluloid sequins that add a subtle sparkle. This costume is dated circa 1960-1970, a genuine piece of Romanian heritage.

The blouse and skirt are in good vintage condition, clean and ready to wear, with only a tiny pin-sized hole on one sleeve. Sized M, this set suits a medium-stature woman; it’s modeled here on a mannequin 1.8 m (5'11") tall, with the skirt reaching halfway down the knees.
