An old traditional Romanian costume from the Sibiu Valcea region, consisting of two pieces: a traditional Romanian dress with with hand embroidery and a pair of superb old aprons.

1. Dress Details:

This traditional Romanian dress adorned with hand-embroidered flowers , grapes and stripes from Transylvania is a true jewel. Although it has a lot of fabric around the chest for larger sizes, it is recommended for sizes M-L or L only

The neck circumference is : 51 cm ( 20 " )

With a length of 124 cm ( 48.8 " ), a chest and waist circumference of 120 cm ( 47 " ) and a sleeve length measured from the neck to the hem of 58 cm ( 22.8 " ), this timeless traditional Romanian dress will add a stunning touch to your wardrobe.

The armhole circumference is 48 cm ( 18.9 " ).

The sleeve circumference where start the frill : 28 cm ( 11 " )

Please note that this handmade blouse, dated between 1930-1950, is in good condition with signs of wear. 

It has been restored ( the ribbon around neck and the ribbons which forms the frills at sleeves was replaced ) ,  it has been washed and is ready to wear. However, the black hand embroidery may show some discoloration due to age and repeated washing.

On the left shoulder there are 2 threads pulled out  , please , check last 2 photos for this detail .

2. Wool aprons Details:

A pair of traditional black wool aprons decorated with hand embroidery in black silk and yellow cotton accents.

They are old and in very good condition ..

These should be dry cleaned only.

The Romanian traditional costume from Sibiu-Valcea folkloric region  is exceptionally beautiful, typical of the mountainous area in southern Transylvania, and so rare to find in this size.
