This exquisite old authentic folk costume from Mehedinti consists of 4 pieces:

1. Hand-Embroidered Traditional Blouse (Ie):

Crafted by hand between 1965 and 1975, this Romanian blouse is made from handwoven homespun linen and adorned with intricate embroidery in red and yellow cotton thread. The complex embroidery features a traditional Romanian design that exudes an old-world charm.

This traditional Romanian blouse comes in size S/M and features tassels at the collar, adding a touch of elegance. The blouse measures 54 cm (21.25") in length and has a chest circumference of 116 cm (45.66").

Despite its age, this hand-embroidered traditional blouse is in excellent condition, free of any tears, repairs, or stains. You may find only minor signs of wear, which only add to its antique charm. 2. New Modern Skirt:

This new skirt is made from commercial fabric with red lace trim at the hem. It has an elastic waistband.

3. Old  Valnic ( Romanian Pleated Skirt):

This old Oltenian valnic is a thinner style made from cotton and silk. It is handwoven with blue, brown, and green stripes on a black cotton and silk background. The skirt is hand-pleated at the waist and the pleats are secured with strings. Being an overlapping skirt, it can fit various sizes. The waist measures 91 cm (35.8"), making it suitable for any waist size smaller than that, allowing for some overlap.

The skirt is secured at the waist with a pin and then tightened with the belt.
