Romanian traditional clothing from Transylvania , Arad

Very old traditional Romanian folk wear from Transylvania which is  handmade with black cotton and very little green on the hand-woven traditional canvas . It contains 3 pieces : antique Romanian handmade blouse , hand embroidered traditional skirt and a black pleated brocade apron . The antique blouse has compact hand  embroidery on the sleeves,  chest  and lace around the neck.

Condition: very good for its age, professionally reconditioned and clean, ready to wear. On the top of the neckline was a lace similar to the one on the sleeves. When we found the shirt, this old lace was mostly torn, so we replaced it with a new lace. If you don't like it, it can be easily removed because it is sewn loosely by hand.

An A shape large Romanian traditional skirt with hand embroidered  vertical rows placed at the back of the skirt .The waist line is also hand embroidered at the back .

When worn as a costume , attire, the skirt closes at  front and the closure is covered with apron.

Shirt: length 47 cm or 18.5 inches

          sleeve length measured at the base of the neck: 64 cm or 25.2 inches

          chest circumference: 120 cm or 47.24 inches

Skirt: waist circumference 63 cm or 24.8 inches

              length: 75 cm or 29.5 inches

Age: 60-80 years or older . For collectors or museums, too  .

Condition: very good for its age, professionally reconditioned and clean, ready to wear.

A black hand pleated brocade apron with fine green and navy blue insertion too , in perfect condition.
