Vintage Romanian traditional clothing from Banat

Romanian Traditional Costume from Banat consisting of 4 pieces: old Romanian traditional blouse with intricate embroidery, matching ample skirt, rare wool apron and authentic old belt.

1. Gorgeous Romanian traditional blouse with cutout embroidery placed on very wide sleeves, chest, and collar. Originally from Transylvania, it is hand-sewn on thin white canvas, commercially available. The sleeves are tied with laces around the elbows to give them volume and puffiness.

The high neck, adorned with a small collar, closes at the back with laces. The Romanian folk  blouse has been extended with a similar fabric. Size S-M. It has sufficient volume over the chest, around the shoulder and the smallest size is the neck.

32 cm (12.6 ")

sleeve length measured from the neck: 59 cm

distance from shoulder to underarm: 25 cm (23.23 " )

chest circumference: 130 cm ( 51.18 " )

length: 56 cm ( 22 " ).

Age: 50-70 years.

Condition: good with normal wear for an old traditional blouse. It has no ruptures, repairs, or obvious stains. It is cleaned and ready to wear.

2. Old Romanian traditional skirt made of the same material with a row of white crochet inserted horizontally around the entire circumference. With a waistband, it closes in front, and the slit is covered by the apron. Size S-M has a maximum waist of 70 cm ( 27.55 " ), for smaller waists, it overlaps. Length: 70 cm (27.55 " ). It is sanitized but has some diffuse stains here and there. I did not insist on removing them; they will surely come out over time with washing.

3. Very rare and old apron in burgundy wool. Embroidered with wool flowers and metal thread inserts. Due to its age, you will find imperfections: a repair, see the last picture. In reality, the repair is not as visible as in the pictures. It is more evident in the photos due to the flash. The blue crochet on the edges is damaged, but I did not want to replace it. The apron is extremely rare, and connoisseurs will appreciate it more in its unmodified state. The apron is extremely old.

4. Authentic old wool belt in very good condition. 

The Romanian traditional costume fits European sizes 36-38 and may fit 40 if the blouse is comfortable around the neck. The costume is clean and ready to wear.
