Vintage Romanian folk costume from Transylvania with floral pattern

Traditional Romanian costume from Banat, Transylvania. This is a handmade folk costume from the 1970s.

It consists of three pieces: a hand embroidered traditional Romanian blouse, a hand embroidered folk skirt, and a traditional apron decorated with splendid floral motifs hand crafted with colorful sequins.

The Romanian traditional costume is sized S-M.

The traditional blouse is meticulously hand-stitched with cross-stitch embroidery using cotton and acrylic threads. The fabric, known as "batist," is a very fine and silky cotton fabric. The embroidery adorns the chest and sleeves, while the sleeves are further embellished with handmade lace.

Blouse Measurements:

Shoulders: 39 cm (15.35 inches)

Chest circumference: 118 cm (46.45 inches)

Shoulder width: 48 cm (18.9 inches)

Blouse length: 50 cm (19.7 inches)

The blouse fastens with metal snaps on the chest.

The skirt is hand embroidered around the hemline, following the same pattern as the blouse. The material is a combination of silk and synthetic fabric. It is lightweight, airy, and fluid. The waist can be adjusted with a cord. You can replace it with elastic if desired, but I wanted to preserve its originality.

The Romanian handmade apron is richly adorned with sequins. It is hand beaded on a black polyester fabric.

The upper part of the apron measures 55 cm wide (21.65 inches) excluding the tie strings, and the length of the apron is 60 cm (23.62 inches).

This traditional apron is in excellent condition, with no holes, stains, or repairs. It has only been slightly worn, preserving its quality. It is an authentic piece that captures the beauty and authenticity of Romanian culture of Banat folkloric region .

The Romanian folk costume is in very good condition, without any defects, tears, or stains. There are only minimal signs of wear, attesting to its careful use.
