Vintage Romanian traditional costume from Moldova

Traditional Romanian costume from Moldova that consists of four pieces: a handmade vintage Romanian blouse, a white folk skirt, a wool antique traditional skirt and a wool antique folk sash.

The Romanian blouse is 40-60 years old, dating back to 1950-1970, and is hand-embroidered with blue cotton thread on white fine linen. It features commercial crochet lace around the sleeves hem, and the lace and beaded collar is detachable and may have come from an older blouse. This Romanian traditional blouse is in good condition, with normal traces of wear for an item of its age, and no noticeable stains or tears.

 It is sized M/L or L with a length of 56 cm or 22 inches, sleeves length of 68 cm or 26.77 inches, and around chest measurement of 124 cm or 48.8 inches.

The Romanian handmade traditional skirt is made of wool thread on a cotton thread foundation and is hand-woven with black with blue and green vertical stripes. It is a rectangular entire piece that will be fixed around your waist with a needle and a sash. 

The skirt is in good condition, with only minor traces of wear, and measures 182 cm x 91 cm or 71.65 x 35.8 inches (L-XL size). 

It is 50-60 years old or more, and the black background is slightly discolored due to the skirt's age. 

The long white shirt is a universal size, very long and very large, with elastic around the waist.

Finally, the antique hand-woven traditional ethnic wool belt is 250 cm long (99 inches) and 7.5 cm (3 inches) wide.

The traditional Moldovan costume is a rich and vibrant expression of the country's culture and history.
