Handmade vintage Romanian folk costume from Oltenia

Introducing the stunning Romanian traditional costume from Oltenia, consisting of two gorgeous handcrafted pieces: a handwoven Romanian dress and a round pleated folk skirt.

The antique Romanian folk dress is between 60-80 years old, crafted with red-blue cotton thread on white handwoven/homespun linen. Despite some imperfections on the linen and a yellow stain on the back around the neck, this Romanian traditional  dress remains in good condition, with the red pattern perfectly preserved and no missing parts or tears. The dress has been washed, cleaned, and is ready to be worn. 

Measuring at 105cm or 41.33 inches in length, with a shoulder to waistline measurement of 39 cm or 15.35 inches and an around the chest measurement of 120cm or 47.24 inches, this Romanian handmade dress is a size M and a true vintage masterpiece.

The Romanian handmade skirt is another highlight of this costume, handwoven with multicolored fine wool thread and cotton, and featuring a red background. The upper hem is pleated and adjustable with strings, allowing for a customizable fit with a button closure, suitable for a waist circumference of up to 80 cm or 31.5 inches. Currently, this Romanian traditional skirt measures at a maximum circumference around the waist of 88cm or 34.64 inches, fitting to any waist circumference less than that, with a lower hem circumference of 3 meters or 118 inches and a length of 61cm or 24 inches. This skirt is between 50-80 years old, in good condition with minimum wear for its age and slight discoloration due to sun exposure.
