Old Romanian traditional costume from Muntenia

Exquisite antique Romanian traditional costume consisting of three components: a hand-embroidered old Romanian blouse, a matching hand-embroidered skirt and a pair of wool folk aprons.

Splendid Romanian traditional blouse originating from Muntenia intricately hand-stitched with red, yellow, and blue cotton threads on fine cotton fabric. The embroidery work is exceptionally detailed, featuring a rare Maltese Cross pattern, intertwined with the colors of the Romanian flag, indicative of its use for special celebrations or occasions. Available in size M or L, with measurements as follows:

Length: 55 cm (21.65 inches)

Sleeve length (measured from the base of the neck): 74 cm (29.13 inches)

Chest circumference: 150 cm (59 inches)

Estimated age: 60-70 years

Condition of the Romanian blouse and skirt : Good, with the blouse lengthened using similar vintage fabric. Clean and impeccably wearable.

Vintage handmade wool aprons, crafted in the traditional style of South Romania. These Romanian traditional aprons are handwoven with burgundy wool thread and adorned with multicolored stitching. The frontal apron features horizontal stripes, while the back apron showcases vertical stripes. Designed for warmth during winter, these aprons are of universal size, measuring 67 cm by 34 cm (26.37 inches by 13.38 inches) wide.

Condition: Very good, free from tears or stains, and freshly cleaned. The black borders are newly added, replacing the original ones which were in poor condition.
