This is an authentic vintage pair of traditional wool folk aprons from the Banat region of Eastern Europe. Estimated to be 60–70 years old, the set reflects a classic regional style in which the front and back aprons intentionally differ in design — a common and valued practice in traditional women's dress from Banat.
Front apron: Features intricate hand-embroidered geometric patterns.
Size: 88 cm long × 32 cm wide (approx. 34.6 in × 12.6 in)
Back apron: Shorter, with a different design, typical of the style.
Size: 15 cm long × 40 cm wide (approx. 5.9 in × 15.7 in), extended with long, multicolored fringe tassels.
The short back panel, ending in bright, decorative fringe, adds a lively and festive touch — traditionally worn during holidays, celebrations, or ceremonial events.
Made of handwoven wool, both aprons exhibit detailed craftsmanship and cultural heritage. The embroidery is done by hand using traditional techniques, preserving the authenticity and artistry specific to the Banat region.
The set is in good vintage condition, showing no holes or tears. It displays normal signs of wear consistent with age, which add to its charm and historical character.
