This rare vintage Romanian zadie (traditional pleated apron) is a stunning example of Transylvanian folk craftsmanship. Originating from the Cluj region and dating to the 1980s, this piece is entirely hand-sewn from luxurious blue and black brocade, tightly pleated by hand.
The apron is adorned with two vertical rows of detailed hand embroidery running down the front and sides. The floral and geometric patterns are worked in matching shades that complement the rich brocade fabric, adding depth and authenticity to this traditional garment.
