Handcrafted in the Kalotaszegi ( Calata in Romanian )region of Cluj, Romania, this exquisite apron, known locally as "Zadie cu bocori," boasts intricate hand embroidery and meticulous hand pleating. The floral motifs, skillfully rendered with black thread, showcase the region's artisanal heritage. Reflecting traditional techniques, the apron is meticulously folded and adorned with meticulously hand-sewn floral patterns along the waist too .
Designed to fit M-L sizes, this apron measures approximately 38 cm (15 inches) around the waist and 77 cm (30.3 inches) in length, offering a graceful, flowing silhouette. Dating back to the 1970s-1980s, it epitomizes the timeless elegance of Transylvanian craftsmanship.
Worn by both Hungarian and Romanian communities in Western Transylvania, including Cluj, Salaj, Arad, Satu Mare, and Oradea, this apron embodies cultural fusion and regional pride.
