Antique Bulgarian folk blouse from Romania with metallic embroidery

Fabulous folk shirt of ethnic Bulgarians from Banat, Romania. Hand-sewn with metal thread, it is a splendid traditional blouse from Romania over 80-100 years old. The tunic's neck is embroidered with gold and silver metal, making it a jewel in itself. Similarly, the handmade sleeves with multicolored thread and silver and gold metallic thread are worthy of a royal costume.

Measurements:

Size: M or M-L. The smallest measurement of the blouse is the neck, which has a circumference of 32 cm or 12.6 inches. The rest of the measurements are suitable for an average European size M or M-L.

Additional measurements:

Shirt circumference immediately below the armpits: 134 cm or 52.75 inches.

Sleeve length starting from the neck: 67 cm or 26.37 inches.

Length: 60 cm or 23.62 inches.

From shoulder to armpit: 27 cm or 10.6 inches.

Condition: Wonderful for its age. The metal embroidery is impeccable, and the hand-woven fabric is perfect. We have only hemmed the shirt. The shirt has been washed and will be delivered ready to wear. However, it was washed using traditional methods with ash, homemade soap, and vinegar, as we do not recommend using modern detergents on these 100-year-old beauties made of metal. Therefore, it has been washed gently, and you may find a faint and unnoticeable stain here and there. Overall, this traditional blouse from Romania is clean and a piece that would look splendid in a collection or museum, resembling a queen.
