Superbly hand embroidered Hungarian tablecloth, runner, center table originated from Western Transylvania / Kalotaszeg region. It is the most famous Hungarian hand embroidery from this region, the so called " written " embroidery, IRASOS
Age: 50 - 60 years old
The tablecloth is hand embroidered with red cotton thread on hemp/flax linen (similar with a very dense sack).
Sizes: 107 x 60 cm or 42. 12 inches x 23. 62 inches.
Very good condition, with minor traces of the wear, seems that it was never used. I machine washed it to remove the smell and the dirty storage so it is ready to be used. A beautiful piece from Kalotaszeg, Transylvania.
